The Humanscale Freedom Chair is a benchmark in self-adjusting office chairs.  When it arrived on the scene in 1999 it was almost shocking.  In some ways it was deeply influenced by the Herman Miller Aeron chairs, but it retained a feel that is distinctly it own.  After 25 years of constant production, it has come back into fashion.

Working closely with Niels for over a decade, I contributed to numerous line extensions, revisions, and updates, both as an individual and as head of Humanscale Design Studio,
